Warning: A rip off without source, with possible virus
There seems to be at least one rip-off of Minetest-c55 on the internet as of now. I heard this one contains a virus. Also it is published without the source code, which violates GPL.

I don’t know what to do about it other than inform about this.

ronan.gaillard.free.fr/index.html is the main website, in french. What I understand is that they are two teenagers (or they were teenagers in 2005) and that they had developed a FPS game in C++/Irrlicht.
I don’t know what to do to help you, apart from leaving a comment in french on ronan.gaillard.free.fr/cuber/, but I don’t think it will help.

Actually what makes me angry is that they try to get donations from the users with practically nothing added on top of my code and with not a single mention of me. They had a donation page in there before the site was hacked (I have no idea who did that). I am guessing that they saw the amount of money I had got and thought they’d try to get some too with a bit of cheating.
Legally it is fine to not mention me and to ask for donations. GPL completely allows that.
What is not legal is distributing the game without the complete modified source code. (they were doing that also)

I saw things your world generator is able to build and I think there are amazing things. As friend of EXE (developer of Manic Digger, other MC clone) I’d like to ask few legal questions for you (but please respond to rave002?o2.pl [replace question mark with at symbol, this is antispam protection] since I probably won’t check this often).
1. This game is GPL’d and MD is Public Domain (you can do ANYTHING with code). Does it mean that if exe use Minetest world generation algorithms (code can’t be copied since this is C++ and Manic Digger is C#) exe will have to GPL Manic digger too?
2. Do you want credits for algorithms or it is not needed?
