Video: Timelapse: Making an extended ridiculous case for a DIY synth.

Monday, June 8th, 2015

Here’s a thing I posted on Youtube.

Also, goddamnit Kdenlive, why do you have to crash all the time!? Well at least the restore-from-crash feature mostly works…

Some fun with plywood. Not sure if I fully like the end result, but it for sure is quite funky which was one of the goals.

In this video I extend the case to fit the power supply and the control/midi board, and probably a small mixer in the future. The analog sound generation boards will be external to this.

It’s not really finished at the end of this video as since then I added a carrying handle, and it doesn’t have the final knob panel and neither some other details.

Music used in this video:

dj-cat – Basses for a honey moon (CC BY-NC-SA)

Aaand streaming today as well.

Streaming DIY things and music on Youtube

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015

I’m experimenting with streaming webcam footage of my desk with some (mostly) creative commons music I’m listening to.

“Hang from my ceiling watching DIY electronics and listening to music.”

Feel free to ask stuff in the stream chat!
