I use firefox exactly because it isn’t like Chrome, but now it is clearly just like Chrome?! And even session restore doesn’t work anymore! Multiple extensions that I use seem to be somehow crippled? What the fuck?
benajamin: Does it support 1) a vertical tab bar, 2) adblock, 3) userscripts, 4) middle mouse drag-to-scroll with drag multiplier, 5) session restore, 6) customizable default zoom level, 7) customizable mouse gestures, 8) recursive website saving to disk and 9) modern developer tools?
I can’t really live without those, and I get all of these in an appropriately extended Firefox.
I do not care about browser start-up time or performance otherwise. When I really need performance, I just launch a short-lived Chromium instance for the page that does.
Dear celeron55, I had the same problem. I wanted to throw that new Firefox out the window. But after some tweaks (ok, many tweaks!) you can get used to it. It is still better than Chrome/Chromium.

It seems to be working slightly better now with >5 restarts, a new extension (Classic Theme Restorer) and miscellaneous configuration changes.
This is like using Windows.
