1. This is  a fork of an upstream mod.  In fact,  it's  a merge of two
different snapshots.

2. Partial list of changes:

* Changed newlines to UNIX format for ".lua" and ".txt" files.  Detab-
bed and/or trimmed other white space.

* Support both old and new versions of nodes.

* Fixed file ownership and/or permissions.

* Added the files "00README" and "oldcoder.txt" (this file).
