1. This is a slightly modified version of an upstream mod.  The start-
ing point was obtained initially as follows:

      rm -fr basic_materials
      git clone https://gitlab.com/VanessaE/basic_materials.git

2. Changes include:

2a. Removed "mod.conf". Note: Dependency information has moved to "de-
pends.txt".

2b. Registered "stairs" nodes for "brass_block" and "cement_block".
